The Elegant Eclectic was born from a truly special moment—my daughter’s wedding. After pouring my heart into creating a unique and beautiful tablescape for her big day, I was surprised (and deeply honored) when her wedding venue approached me with an idea: "Had I ever thought of offering this as a service?"
Soon after her wedding, once photos were shared on the venue’s Instagram, the response was overwhelming. Future brides began asking, “How can I get this look for my wedding?”~ that's when the venue approached me and just like that, The Elegant Eclectic began to take root.
What started as a labor of love for one unforgettable day, has now grown into a passion for helping others create their own beautiful, memorable events.
Honestly, looking back, as a Mother-of-the Bride, I would’ve LOVED to have had an option like this!! We spent SIX months curating items and still had to have friends graciously scramble around town to track down last-minute pieces just days before the wedding as we had absolutely ZERO time to do this ourselves! Of course, EVERY single piece had to be washed (the mountain of dishes!) and then there was that small matter of how and where to store this ever-growing pile of dishes and decor that were overtaking my basement! What was my sane (obviously insane) brain thinking?!
But it wasn’t over yet – we still had to get this mammoth collection TO the venue, not just set up and looking pretty (the fun part, right?!). Afterwards, friends & family, who should’ve still been enjoying the reception, were instead gathering and carting off dirty dishes, only to return them to my house where my exhausted-just-got-done-with-a-wedding self had to now wash, pack up and store this enormous collection of STUFF! If I hadn’t been approached with this rental idea AND had a storage facility to keep them, I then would’ve spent who knows how much time trying to hopefully re-sell these items on Marketplace, only recouping a fraction of what we had invested.
Since that time, I have enjoyed fostering my passion and experience in Interior Design, Antiques and Organization into helping others avoid all of that work! My goal is to take the stress out of planning by offering a beautiful, curated selection of vintage and modern rentals, freeing couples (and parents!) up to focus on the other wedding details while still creating the picture-perfect day they've dreamed of!
