When I think back on this day 3 words come to mind: JOY, SUPPORT… and ELEGANCE! Held just days before Christmas, Natalie and John Allen’s wedding was not only beautiful - it was so.much.fun! Two long tables flanked the room- one filled with high school friends, the other college - with family & friends filling the space between, surrounding the couple with love and unwavering support. Emerald green runners and napkins echoed the bridesmaids dresses, paired with eclectic gold rimmed plates, berry toned florals, and vintage clear, pink and plum glassware to tie it together. As I reflect on this past year, I’m honestly overwhelmed with gratitude! It’s kind of wild to think that in 2025, I served 2,892 guests, traveled 4,150 miles, set and cleared 3,052 dinner plates, 3,221 glasses (not including 185 teacups!), a whopping 10,646 pieces of flatware, and countless dessert plates, candles, vases and other decor! I also had fun steaming, pressing, tying and setting 200 table cloths, 2,933 napkins, 113 runners and 670 chair covers and sashes. HaHa. Seeing those numbers written out truly blows my mind! But behind every number is something far more meaningful - a celebration, family, a couple, and moments I was trusted to be part of. I never take that lightly. This business began several years ago in Idaho, and moving to Tennessee in 2022 meant starting over in many ways. And just as I jumped fully into re-branding and booking, a major health setback slowed me down HARD. But God gave me the strength to somehow push through! 2023 slowed me down. A lot! 2024 was about rebuilding. 2025 was the year I found my rhythm again! I am deeply grateful for every couple, client, family, venue and individual who trusted me with their celebrations. I believe every event should feel meaningfully personal and I promise to always pour my heart into each event I do. Just minutes from Fall Creek Falls State Park, Woodhaven Wedding Venue on the Cumberland Plateau was the perfect backdrop for Ella & Jacob’s amazing day! The wind whipped through the hills, bringing a few challenges of its own, but it couldn’t steal a bit of joy! The sweetest little country church on the Cumberland Plateau was the setting for Arissa & Jacob’s wedding. Their vision was to transform the ‘drab’ fellowship hall (their words, not mine!) into a soft sage and blush floral fairytale ~ and it came together beautifully! When the happiest, free-spirited bride asked for a ‘70’s vibe I was all in! Tables were decked out in a mix of vintage floral stoneware straight outta the ‘70s, paired with green and amber glassware to match a palette of MCM golds, olives, oranges, pinks, and browns. Special moment right here..... On June 8, several years ago, my brother gave a heartfelt speech at my daughter’s wedding ~ a day already overflowing with love. When couples and clients reach out to me, one of the first things I do is ask if they have an inspiration board. That and the ensuing conversations are key to creating their desired design & fine tuning which services they need. In these conversations I learn more about them, their wedding, their vibe. I then send pictures of samples and mock set-ups I’ve created to help clarify their vision, often with multiple variations and options. For some this process already starts at an initial consultation, whether in person or online, where I have preselected pieces that would fit their palette and encourage them to play around with them. I will always love being part of the amazing process that transforms these mock ups into full scale beauty on their special day! Positively loved the event I did recently for The Governor’s One Shot Turkey Hunt Banquet held at Liberty Hall (and it’s adjoining Heritage Hall) at the Factory at Franklin! What a beautiful, unique venue! Set-up was a bit different than my typical events as this was a buffet dinner for 550!! This annual event kicks off turkey hunting season and acts as a major fundraiser for The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation. The Elegant Eclectic was born from a truly special moment—my daughter’s wedding. After pouring my heart into creating a unique and beautiful tablescape for her big day, I was surprised (and deeply honored) when her wedding venue approached me with an idea: "Had I ever thought of offering this as a service?"

Soon after her wedding, photos from her wedding were shared on the venue’s Instagram, and the response was overwhelming. Future brides began asking, “How can I get this look for my wedding?”~ that's when the venue approached me and just like that The Elegant Eclectic began to take root.

What started as a labor of love for one unforgettable day has now grown into a passion for helping others create their own beautiful, memorable events!

Mary was absolutely amazing from the first phone call to the very last minute. I wanted a certain center and Mary graciously purchased them for her inventory so she could give my son and daughter in law exactly what they wanted. Her communication and attention to detail is impeccable . I was planning all this from another state and Mary was there to answer any questions or help in anyway she could. I would 200% recommend Mary for any of your wedding needs.
